Ohisashiburi

Note: This was written a while ago...sorry for the delayed post. Second note: Blogspot is screwed...I can't post pictures here anymore. So, I will prolly be switching to another hosting site. I will let you know when I change sites. I will probobly starts using Multiply.

Hello everyone! Again, long time huh! Sorry about that. Well anyways, I am finally getting settled into my new apartment and life and all that. I am living in Kumamoto Japan now which is on the Island of Kyushu. I teach at a Junior High School with over 500 little brats in it. Classes have just started so I don't really know what to think yet...but when I get used to the Job and everything, I will be sure to let you know.

Anyways, I will add more stuff later...hehehe like when I'm at work and have nothing to do. hehe. (which seems to happen a lot). But for right now I just wanted to add a couple pictures.

Its been pritty crazy lately, every weekend I run around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to explore as much of Kyushu as possible. Man I love this island! I think I have been to just about every festival in Kyushu. I have seen at least 1 fireworks display a week...and quite often twice a week. Everytime I go to these festivals I dance, watch fireworks and spend WAY to much on festival food like Tako Yaki(fried octopus), Okonomiyaki (crazy Japanese pancake/pizzas), shaved ice and a whole bunch of other stuff. But its fun. Also, there are always cute girls running around in tradintional Japanese clothes like Yukata or Jinbe.

I don't have a car yet, so getting to these places is usually the doing of other people like Stef, the hottest singaporean ever, or Edwin the best Senpai ever. So its been working out. I do know though, that when I finally get my car, I am going to put ETC (atomatic Super Expresway paying device thingy) and maybe even Navi....of corse, that is after I put a sound system in it! Well, anyways, lemme post some pics and I'll explain some more later!

A couple more

I wanted to add these pictures to the last post, but wasn't able too. So, I'm adding them now!

The most fearsome beast in the world! Watch it! She bites!!!!

This was last Halloween. Told you I was a Samurai!

A bunch of Japanese came from Kushiro to share at some of our schools here in Fairbanks. I got the chance to meet them and then we all went out to dinner. After that, whenever they had free time we would all hang out. We went and saw the Aurora etc. It was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed spending time with them. They also seemed to enjoy visiting with my friends and learning more about Alaska/USA. I hope someday I get to go to Kushiro and say hi to them again! (there were many more then just in this picture....but many of them were asleep when we took this picture ^_^)

Alaska!!

Hello everyone. I'm doing good and I finally decided to start adding some more pictures to my blog. Sorry it has been so long. I hope you all enjoy!

I have pictures of ALASKA!!! YAY!!!! Ok, so most of these pictures are from Homer Alaska, my hometown. These first two pictures is just one of the things that Homer is Famous for.......EAGLES!!!!!!!! These two eagles were in our backyard just chillin on a tree. I digiscoped them! I rock!

During Christmas Break I decided I wanted to go snowmachining....so I did! It was a lot of fun, and it was a beautiful day and George and I had a good time.....I payed for it later though...ah well. It was worth it.

This was later that day. While the sun was setting. I took this picture from sitting on my snowmachine.

The next two pictures were all taken from my fron't yard.

Another thing Homer is Famous for... MOOSE!!! MooooOOOOOoo....Hey, why isn't the plural of Moose Mees?
Durning Thanksgiving break, a few of my friends came down from Fairbanks and we had a big thanksgiving dinner! It was really good and we had a fun time. Hopefully everyone can come back during summer and we can all go fishing.Another picture of Homer....the clouds reflected the setting sun and lit up the whole sky.....even though it looks kind of dark in the picture..it really wasn't.
The end of the road....literaly......Yusuke and I traveled to Manly Hotsprings in his car, and this was the end of the Highway...it ends at a big river where there is a vast opening. It really felt like the end of the road. It was agreat drive there too. I would suggest it to anyone who has a few extra hours on their hands. Good scenery.

Long time huh...

Hello everyone. I havn't added anything to my blog in a really long time. As most of you probobly know, I got in a really bad motorcycle accident and was in the hospital for about 3 months. But, I have healed really well, and am up and walking around. I'm not the most stable person when I'm standing up, but I do all right. Also, I am getting better every day so things are looking up I think. I have been taking things easy this year, taking a few classes and mainly focusing on rehab.

So, on the plus side, I have graduated from college and I am getting ready to go back to Japan. But, before I do that, it looks like I have to get some more surgery done, so I will probobly do that and then I will head back to Japan.

Anyways, hopefully I can start adding some pictures of Alaska and stuff. Well, hope all of you are doing well. Please write me if you get the chance. =^_^=
